Serious George
Serious George was the first film of the second year of YS United. This is also the first film featuring the works of our crew members Caleb Scherbarth, Evan Lopez, and JJ Valverde. This film, a dry humor parody, dives into the importance of love through the eyes of George, who has been observant his entire life, viewing questions as something that strays you away from truly enjoying life. George only speaks to tell Theodore, someone he’s watched over the years not live his life to the fullest, to not waste his life away, and to love.
George’s Statement Explained
In this scene from Serious George, George, who has spent his life quietly observing, finally speaks up to Theodore. He urges him to not get lost in the complexities of life and to focus on the one thing that truly matters—love. George believes that endless questioning distracts from truly living, and he implores Theodore to embrace love while he still can, because love, though inexplicable, is the only thing worth holding onto.
