Night Shift
Night Shift was the first time we tried a new genre, transferring from film noir to psychological horror. This was also the last film with Michael Stanton, who graduated high school after. The song El Paso which played in the background was a tribute to his grandfather. Night Shift follows a string of paranormal events that happen to a worker who is packing up for the night after a long shift.
The Loop Explained
In this eerie scene from Night Shift, Michael, now in a new jumpsuit, returns to the studio where he was cleaning, but something feels unsettlingly different. Confused, he examines his surroundings, only to hear the familiar sound of a bucket dropping outside the room again. It dawns on him that the black-clawed monster has trapped him in a loop, using the bucket as a signal that the creature is toying with him, keeping him stuck in a disorienting loop, using the bucket as a lure for him to go outside just to repeat the loop again.
